Halloween is creeping closer, and there’s plenty of spooky fun happening locally! From pumpkin picking and family trails to discos, crafts and Halloween adventures, we’ve rounded up 5 local events to get you in the spirit this October.
Malice Returns The Sorcerers Apprentice 🎃
Malice Returns: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is coming to Mayfield’s Secret Lavender Garden this October, with a brand-new immersive Halloween adventure for families running from the 10th – 31st October.
Expect mystery, mischief, pumpkins and plenty of interactive fun!

Halloween at The Cock Inn 🎃
The Cock Inn in Headley has a whole week of spooky family fun planned for October half term!
From Monday 26th October–Sunday 1st November, there’ll be a Jellycat colouring competition, Halloween activities and Kids Eat for £1 from Monday–Saturday with the purchase of an adult meal.
The big Family Fun Day takes place on Friday 30th October, with pumpkin carving, apple bobbing, a fancy dress competition and spooky treasure hunt.

Halloween Family Disco & Crafts at The Horton 🎃
Get dressed up and head to The Horton for an afternoon of Halloween family fun, with a disco featuring DJ Kobbie, lights and music, alongside seasonal crafts and drawing activities. There’ll even be prizes for the most creative children’s costumes!

Neat Halloween Mega Maze
Gather your family or friends, collect your blasters and step into our spooky maze! Find your way through the twists and turns, keep watch for zombies lurking around corners and work together to reach the exit! 🔦
Which way will you turn and who will be waiting? 🧟♂️
Make it through, then head into NEAT HQ for music, with food and snacks available. 🎶🍿
👻 Dress to impress! The best dressed can win a FREE week at a NEAT camp of their choice!
❤️ A night of family fun in a safe, welcoming space. All money raised will go towards opening an extra day of the NEAT youth club.

Pumpkins, Play & Family Adventure at Hobbledown 🎃
Hobbledown Epsom is getting an autumn makeover with thousands of pumpkins, themed photo spots, play areas, animals and plenty of seasonal fun. The pumpkin event runs from 26th September to 1st November and is included with your day ticket.
During October half term, families can also enjoy a Trick or Treat Trail with Hobbledown characters, while marshmallow toasting is available for an additional charge. Pumpkins can be chosen and purchased separately on the day.
