With restrictions gradually easing, this summer is going to be all about catching up with friends and family.  Whilst we have a good variety of lovely local restaurants in Epsom and Ewell and surrounds serving up delicious cocktails including RockSalt – Epsom, The Bridge – Tadworth, Galu – Banstead to name a few, there are also some great London hotspots that we would quite like to visit this summer and thought we would share them with you too.

This tropical themed rooftop cocktail bar is part of the Adventure Group which also own the infamous Hello Josephine bar.
With its funky yet very relaxed and casual vibe, Bar Elba boasts stunning views of London and a cocktail menu to excite the most discerning of cocktail lovers.  They also host a variety of events such as Bottomless Brunch and Rooftop Cinema.

Situated a stones throw from Waterloo BR it really is a great spot to visit after work or during the weekend.

Tonight Josephine oozes sexiness, sass and attitude.  Made famous by the bright red Neon slogan sign written ‘Well Behaved Women Don’t Make History’ as you enter, Tonight Josephine is definitely the femme fatale of cocktail bars. It’s interiors ooze 1980s cocktail bar and the cocktails mirror this.  Hello Josephine hosts events such as Afternoon Teas, Burlesque Bottomless Brunch, Drag Bingo and Male Burlesque Theme nights.

Definitely not for the well behaved.

Neverland is best described as an urban beach bar situated on the Wandsworth Bridge Road, Fulham and is one of South West London’s hotspots.  The Evening Standard describes Neverland perfectly: “A paradise of white sand, day beds, pastel beach huts, swings and palm trees.”

A chilled vibe with DJs and super cool cocktails to match, Neverland is definitely a place to go this summer.

Overlooking Notting Hill & Hyde Park, Skylark is one of West London’s ultimate roof gardens.  10 floors up from Sheldon Square, Skylark boasts south facing views across all of west London.  With its chic yet contemporary style Skylark although relaxed has a sophisticated vibe to it.  Day beds are draped with Royal blue and white striped blankets which match the parasols. Minimal and elegant yet not uptight.

Beautiful cocktails and Mediterranean inspired food are the basis of Skylarks menu.
Definitely one to go to also not forgetting a live DJ. What more could you want?

Pergola Paddington is a very minimal yet contemporary bar/restaurant situated on the 10th floor. Known for its great food and cocktails Pergola comprises of various hidden gardens complete with day beds, lounge areas and of course tables and chairs too.  As well as open air areas Pergola also has roof covered sections for their visitors to enjoy if the weather isn’t great.

We definitely will be enjoying these venues over the summer which are all within easy reach of Epsom and Ewell (via train or taxi).  We hope you do too.
