Now the summer holidays are over and the kids are settled back to school we’ve explored some popular options to see Father Christmas below:
From the 30th November – 24th December it’s all about the build up at Chessington Garden Centre, take a trip through the Wonderland where you will step into magical Christmas scenes and have plenty of photo points, opportunities and interactions. Of course, a trip to see Father Christmas is not complete without an early Christmas present. Child ticket price (from £14.50).
Just next door at Chessington World of Adventure on selected dates from 23rd November, a small amount of rides are running for the Winter’s Tail event, you also gain entrance to the Zoo and Sealife and can take part in some Gruffalo themed activities. Plus of course, entrance to the grotto and a gift. All day early bird tickets cost £18.50pp for non annual pass holders.
If it’s whole day experiences (or sleepovers) you are after then another option is Legoland, running 30th November & 1,6,7,8,13,14,15. 20-24 December only, experience a host of festive fun, including Elves’ Magic Show, LEGO building activities and more! Jump aboard the Brickmas Express or take a winter stroll down to Miniland to start the day, can you spot Father Christmas delivering the mini presents to all the minilanders? Follow the Christmas trees to the Christmas Kingdom where the ultimate LEGO fun awaits.
Lapland UK starts from £59 per person, the Enchanted Forest, Elf Village and ice skating rink amongst other attractions will make this an unforgettable Christmas memory. Another option that could be stretched into a few hour visit is Tulley’s Farm, on selected dates from 30th November – 24 December with child tickets from £27.95, they will be treated to a sleigh ride, puppet shows, reindeer talks, and various craft workshops.
Closer by you have Hobbledown the enchanted Grotto will be open from 30th November throughout selected dates until Tuesday 24th December 2019 and back by popular demand will be their Christmas Toddler Brunches and Lunches, for slightly older children they have Tea With Santa too which involves a disco, fun time in the play barn, visit from Santa, present and lunch box style tea.
At Bocketts Farm Park hop on board the Santa Express Trailer – start the journey with one of the important head elves. Children will hop aboard the Santa express and travel in style to the magical workshop, where you’ll gather as a group for some festive elf fun. Next you’ll meet Father Christmas himself and receive a special golden coin to spend in his very own toy shop!
This December at Godstone Farm Father Christmas is returning to his special festive Christmas Cabin. Joining him is Mrs Christmas, his team of brilliant Elves and a sleigh load of pressies to create memories to last a life time. Dates are 3rd – 24th December, this was a sell out event last year so be sure to book quickly.
For something a little different then Santa’s Sitting Room will transport you back in time to a bygone era, this unique theatrical grotto with a sprinkling of modernity includes a wrapped gift and costs £11.50 per child, 18th – 24th December. Train mad youngsters will love to hop on at Leatherhead Miniature Railway for a train ride to meet Santa and receive a gift on 7th & 8th December, £15 per child.
At The Epsom Playhouse is Santa’s Christmas Countdown, a hillarious, fully interactive show that’s fun for the whole family – with the added bonus of a gift from the Big Man himself at the end. It runs from Saturday 7th December to Tuesday 24th December and tickets start at £12.25.
