10 WAYS TO SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES FOR FREE THIS VALENTINES DAY….

Can you show a small local business some love this Valentines Day? ❤️

1. Follow them on social media.

Whatever platform you can really, I know there are many others but those are the main ones I use!

2. Like their posts (actually LOVE their posts).

It will take a second of your time and just gives them that reassurance that their posts are being seen.

3. Share their posts.

This increases the reach of their posts.

4. Comment on their posts.

This is another action that increases the reach of their posts and leaving a comment is a lovely added bonus, something for them to read, and your comments / feedback will be seen by others who could be potential clients or customers.

5. Tag friends who would like them.

Don’t gate keep, I often tag my friends in post of places I think they might want to visit.

6. Post photos / videos of the business.

If you visit a restaurant or anywhere nice or bought a product why not post a picture or an instagram reel to showcase what the businesses have to offer.

I recently visited the Derby Arms I posted pictures both on my personal Instagram stories and Facebook page, check out their yummy Sunday roast.

7. Tell friends about their products.

Send links to websites to friends of products you come across that they may like.

8. Write reviews and give feedback.

As a business I always do a little happy dance if someone leaves Epsom and Ewell Families a Facebook or Google review, if you like a service why not let them know.

9. Sign up to their newsletter.

Take it away from social media and sign up to the newsletters of businesses that you love, get their latest news and offers straight to your inbox.

10. Send a message telling them you like what they do.

A good old fashioned message to say “Hey I love your business, your products / service. Keep up the good work” is guaranteed to make any small business smile 🙂
