Now that pubs are open for business again, you might be feeling a bit nervous about being in close proximity to other people after all this time.   The good news is that we have lots of local pubs with outside dining in vicinity, allowing you space to social-distance and hopefully even enjoy some of the beautiful sunshine we have been having and will continue to heave!

With this in mind I’ve put together a selection of pubs below:

The Blenheim, 7 Manor Green Rd, Epsom KT19 8RA

The recently refurbished pub has a great outdoor area to utilise

The Cock Inn,  Church Lane, Headley, Epsom KT18 6LE

Located in the pretty location of Headley Village in Epsom this pub is also dog friendly.  Check out Dee’s recent review here.

The Cricketers, Epsom Common, 1 Stamford Green Rd, Epsom KT18 7SR

In a beautiful setting with resident ducks, if the courtyard is full then patrons can spill out onto Stamford Green for some extra space. Kids welcome.

The Derby Arms, Free House, Derby Arms Rd, Epsom Downs KT18 5LE

Wooden beams and spectacular views over the downs are on offer here.

The Grumpy Mole, Dorking Road, Tadworth KT20 5RX

Pretty gastropub garden with an acclaimed menu, including a good selection of vegan options.

The Harrow, High Street, Cheam, SM3 8RL

This quirky tudor-style pub has a small outside area, tucked away from the main road, and an impressive gin selection on offer.

The Marquis of Granby, Central Epsom, 4 West St, Epsom KT18 7RG

This vibrant pub has outside seating at the front and a patio area at the back if you prefer to be a bit less in the thick of it.

The Plough, 93 Kingston Rd, Leatherhead KT22 7SP

If you like a bit of spice in your life the this thai eatery is just up your street, they also offer a good selection of gluten-free options.

The Spring Tavern, Ewell Village, 1 London Rd, Ewell, Epsom KT17 2AY

With views over the Hogsmill this gastropub has a great wine list and is a popular choice for residents of Ewell Village

The Woodman, Woodmansterne Street, Banstead SM7 3NL

There’s a huge garden here and it’s great for families with the added bonus of a kids play area, dogs are also very welcome.

Wherever you decide to visit I hope you manage to enjoy some quality time with your family or friends, also some of these lovely local pubs are registered for the Eat Out to Help Out scheme which is a great initiative offering discounts Mon – Weds throughout August to encourage a return to eateries.

Have fun and stay safe!
